I'd like to see a log of that if possible.

Enable logging here WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details -> Enable Logging Routines. With logging enabled, run a test transaction and then look for the log via FTP in /wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs/.

Post here the relevant entries from the PayPal and MailChimp logs, x'ing out any private info, please.

thanks again for the replies.

I must be doing something wrong here, isn't working for me. hopefully someone can help.

I created a new members section in mailchimp - copied the unique id code.

i already have the api key copied.

pasted this code into the MailChimp® List Server Integration - List ID(s) for Level #1 ( comma-delimited ) section.

set up the paypal button -

I then paid through the button.

I then registered on the following url myurl - wp-login.php?action=register
and login myurl - wp-login.php

but nothing is appearing in the mailchimp list.

as a new user i dont receive an email asking me IF I can confirm my details.

I presume the following is where I am going wrong -
"One thing to note; however, is that if a user 'registers' on the website but doesnt ever go through an S2member signup (whether they are paying or not) then they will not be registered to the MailChimp lists. You MUST force all users that attempt to register to signup through an S2member signup form (even if you are offering a free registration)."

i've watched http://www.s2member.com/api-list-servers-video/ but just cant quite get mailchimp to list my new members automatically.

hope that makes sense ! what setup am I missing out ?

thanks in advance.

ps I'll happily pay for someone to set this up.

Stephen

Once you set up the API key and add the MailChimp list IDs to the levels you want to integrate, when a user moves to one of those levels, s2Member will add the user to the list(s) you set for the level.

This video may help http://www.s2member.com/api-list-servers-video/

Also take a look at these two panels in the List Servers API page: Registration / Double Opt-In Box and Automate Un-Subscribe/Opt-Outs

I hope that helps. :)

With MailChimp integration all you have to do is register on MailChimp, set up your List(s) then get your MailChimp API Key and the MailChimp List ID(s).

In S2Member under API / List Servers go to the MailChimp Settings.

Put in your API Key, then specify which lists a user should become registered to upon registration by inputting the List IDs. Remember, if you want them to be joined to multiple lists, you must separate the list ids using a comma and a space (i.e. 4299538, 4223324, 242134, etc.).

Once this is done, any NEW user signup that is processed through S2Member, will automatically be registered to those lists in MailChimp IF the registration was processed through S2Member.

One thing to note; however, is that if a user 'registers' on the website but doesnt ever go through an S2member signup (whether they are paying or not) then they will not be registered to the MailChimp lists. You MUST force all users that attempt to register to signup through an S2member signup form (even if you are offering a free registration).

hi there - I've installed s2member onto a new site and trying to get to grips with it - Its one hell of a plug in and for someone of my limited knowledge - I must admit I've got myself a bit lost and bamboozled with technical speak. just spent nearly two days watching tutorials - my head is spinning !

Question is -
I have set up a new data base with Mail chimp and copied all the codes etc into S2member section of my site admin section.
I have set up the paypal button. and installed the code into my Join Now Page.
I've set up all the API keys. mailchimp codes etc. etc.

simply I want new members - to pay £20 to access one page of my site - which is called Members area.
the rest of the site is free for all to view.

If you pay the £20 for 1 year subscription - all your details will automatically go straight into mailchimp ? via paypal ? or is there another step I am missing out on here ?

or do new members have to register with mailchimp + pay the £20 in different transactions ?

I just need a simple step by step how to deal with this - I hope the above makes sense.

my site is off line in maintenance mode until i sort this out but will give log in details for anyone willing to help - I'd happily pay to get this sorted.

thanks in advance

Stephen -
