Yes, you can link to the sign up page where you tell the person to create an account.

On the membership options page I am inserting an image that shows benefits of memberhip. The paypal button appears but there is not an option to join the free level. Do I have to direct them to the buddy press sign up link at the top of the page?

Second issue, what is the best method for managing the navigation. Genesis has a menu option but it will not display a secondary menu for some reason. It I don't use the that option I can't seem to figure out how to avoid every page from appearing in the main menu like the member welcome page.
