Does the user registration record sit in some other hidden table until they click the email verification link?
Yes, but you can't access those details through your Dashboard, as this is a temporary table that is maintained internally by WordPress®. It's actually not even part of the s2Member plugin. Also, this is ONLY utilized on Multisite Network installations. Under most circumstances, there is no "activation" required. They'll just need to check their email after registering so they can get their password.

If that is the case, is it possible to manually activate that user, and correct the email address?
As mentioned above, manual creation IS possible ( manual activation is NOT ). That being said, if the User is already in the system with an invalid email address, you can certainly correct that by finding them in your list of Users. Just click the [Edit] link next to their name.

First off,
you can work-around this issue entirely by allowing your Customers to set their own password during registration. See: s2Member -> General Options -> Custom Registration Fields -> Passwords.

Now, to answer your question.
For Specific Post/Page Links, you can use the customer service tool provided by s2Member, under: s2Member -> PayPal Button -> Specific Post/Page Links. However, for Membership Level Access, your customer service approach would be a new User creation ( manually ), under: s2Member -> Add A Member, or just go to Users -> Add New.

Add_User.jpgThere is also an option here that allows you to have the login details sent to the Customer.

@TODO/COPY :: build in a customer service tool for registration link creation,
similar to the existing tool for Specific Post/Page Access Links.

While doing some live PayPal tests, I registered and paid for a membership with paypal, then was redirected to the Registration URL. When I went through the registration form, I entered the incorrect email address.

At this point, I was unable to verify my account (by design I understand)...but the question is...if a user of the site did the same thing, how would we resolve it?

I could not find that registered (an paid) user in the dashboard to change the email to the correct one. Does the user registration record sit in some other hidden table until they click the email verification link? If that is the case, is it possible to manually activate that user, and correct the email address?

Thank you very much!
