I don't know that s2Member actually did it. But that's what i've been working on today, and it had been working fairly well. I took a break for a few hours, and then could not log back into my wp-admin (as the site owner), so finally checked the wp_users table, and it was GONE from my database!
Admittedly i'm very new to s2Member (Pro, actually), but I think i was on the right track... setting it up for my site, learning how it works, going through all the settings and configs. I have it basically working: I successfully registered a few (test) paid members (using my paypal sandbox account), and then logged into the site as one of them. I then added the Login Box Widget to the home page too, and it basically worked. I logged in and out a few times.
Does anyone know if there is any code at all anywhere in s2Member, s2Member Pro, or Login Box widget, that could POSSIBLY delete the entire wp_users table accidently? I doubt there is, but I am struggling to come up with how this could have happened. And s2Member does work with the wp_users table.
Any insight massively appreciated!
By the way, my site is not live.. we are just in development, so no big data loss here. Just concerned about if we had been live with real data!Statistics: Posted by toddz88 — November 20th, 2010, 12:18 am
