I'm not sure what you have to do to get real problems addressed in this forum, but this is very disappointing.
Does anyone know if paying for the Pro version gets you any better support? Even if you don't need or use the Pro version.
or better yet Is there a plugin out there that does what s2member does and is really compatible with BP with decent tech support?

I have tested and purchased several other membership plugins. Most that are easy enough for a non-programmer to use are commercial. I have no stake in any of them and no stake in S2M other than as a user. So I am not "biased."

Nothing comes close to the functionality of S2Member. More important to your question is that NONE of them even pretend to support Buddypress.

As to the comments regarding support, I am a Pro licensee because I want to support development. I have also used the Custom Install services twice. I can detect no more or less support on my questions in the forum than anyone else.

Being a free application, and a very complex library of code, it is understood that support needs to be rendered primarily among the users themselves. So if your questions are not getting answered, curse the rest of us who either do not know the answer or are unwilling to devote the time.

For myself, I am rarely in the forum and so am not a reliable source of help.

One thing I do know: if an issue is important and my time or skills are not up to the task, a custom install is easily worth the price.

I do encourage you to find other solutions that better meet your expectations. I know you won't want to hear this, but it just had to be said.

There has to be a better way than posting here and hoping someone help!
For people that are actually using this plugin for a real membership site and not playing around and testing, these kinds of issues, along with 503 errors from European members, makes it un-reliable at best.
very disappointing, I like everything about this plugin, especially the videos, but the lack of tech support is killing me.
Sorry, Jason, I know you'll never answer this post now, but it had to be said.

s2 3.3.2
WP 3.0.3
If I disable BP then the login redirect works great, otherwise it is just redirecting to the home page. Help? Right now I've got all of my forums disabled until I can figure this out...

WP -ver 3.0.1

This is driving me crazy.
Regular( non-admin login ) buddypress login works fine and redirects to Welcome page set up in s2Member. However, the Buddypress adminbar login ( at top of browser )which is core buddypress code, still ignores the welcome page and routes to home page.
At first I thought it was a plugin conflict because it works fine when first installed with no plugins. Not sure when it stopped working because its not a login panel I use and I only test it when I make changes to the Welcome pages. I have added plugins along the way and when the problem occurred I thought I discovered the source of the problem. However, after further testing and deactivating all other plugins I still have the problem. No changes were made to the theme or WP since initial install (when the welcome page worked for the adminbar login), just plugins were added.
Can anyone think of what might be causing this problem/conflict?

or maybe how can I disable this login altogether. My Members don't need it, the standard buddypress login is all I need.

Happy Holidays!
