I don't understand. I just tried going to your login page and I can load it fine. /wp-login.php

Could you explain the steps you take before you get redirected to registration when you try to get to the login page?

Great! Almost there.

Could try as the TwentyTen theme as a test and see if the problem goes away? If not, try deactivating other plugins that may be affecting the login.

Everything is working fine now, it's just the login that's redirectig to the register page...

Ok, so the wp-login.php seems to be the problem - it's redireting to the register page for some reason.

I tried clicking on the 'login' link on that registration page, but it keeps redirecting

I only need the latest entries, I removed earlier ones.

You should test purchase from an account other than the admin one, one of the entries says:

5 => 'Unable to modify Subscription. The existing User ID is associated with an Administrator. Stopping here. Otherwise, an Administrator could lose access.',

Now, the next entry shows an email successfully sent to the customer, s2Member is sending the confirmation email, if it doesn't arrive it's a problem elsewhere (like being filtered as spam, or maybe your SMTP settings):

5 => 'Signup Confirmation Email sent to: "dorcas kofie" .',

The last one shows a successful subscriber payment and an updated EOT time:

6 => 'Updated Payment Times for this Member.',

It's odd. There could be another conflict with a plugin. Could you disable other plugins leaving s2Member and try again?

Good! Glad you fixed that.

About the other problems, they may have been because of something wrong in the buttons you were using, or something else, don't know yet. When I learned that you had not been using the shortcode I thought it'd be best to sort that out first and then see how the rest goes.

Could you try doing a test purchase with that button and then show me the log entry for that transaction?

Woop Woop!

I found the plugin - wp-recaptca, disabled it and now the shortcode is showing the button properly.

Question: could this have been the cause of people not receiving their registration password and things?

Hi,

Ive switcched it off.

There is no plugin with recaptcha...

People only sign up for membership so they can access premium content. I don't know how to configure for two sites to integrate - I only set up s2member on one site, but already I an see that it is blocking the directory site, which is odd.
This is realy baffling

I don't know. s2Member instances in network blogs are independent of each other, if you change a setting for Blog A, Blog B is unaffected.

Are you trying to mix the blogs? Setting up the membership content in one with the s2Member-PayPal integration in another one? That'd cause problems.

Could you explain how you set it up, please? Are you giving blogs to the members or just using them for organization of the site?

Anyway, you can turn encryption off, then you'd have to find the plugin that's doing the recaptcha thing.

My site is a multisite intsallation and I have subdirectory which stopped taking payments as soon as I enabled encrypted buttons, so I have to undo it.

The site, motherswhowork.co.uk/mumpreneurdirectory used a directory theme, I've just noticed that s2member is blocking user registration...!

Why is that? I thought it allowed multisite use?

Could that be the problem? The multisite thing?

I see a recaptcha code messing with your email address in the PayPal button's form. What plugin you installed can be causing that?

You could also try encrypting the button, then the email address will probably not be there for the recaptcha plugin to mess with it. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details -> Enable Button Encryption

I don't see the a dropdown menu in the first one. By the way, those are the full codes and you need a PHP execution plugin for them to work properly (unless you change the PHP parts with shortcode equivalents).

It is better to use the button shortcodes instead of full code. Could you show me the shortcodes you generated with s2Member and also post them in a test page and give me the URL to see them? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't login to users' admin areas, so I try to help fix them here before taking Jason off development to look at these things. I hope you understand.

Let's look at the errors you get when trying to use the button's shortcode s2member generates. This is likely a problem with your theme or another plugin affecting shortcode parsing. Please post the shortcode in a page and give me the URL to it so I see what's happening.

It must have not saved...very odd.

I was saying that I used the instructions in the thread you sent to set up the buttons in paypal. I has tried using the short codes before Paypal but they were producing error messages, that's why I tried creating the button in paypal directly using the s2member generated code.

Did I do something wrong?

The buttons work, and people are getting the Aweber confirmation email now - the only thing that isn't happening is that:

1. user accounts are not being created after payment - nor are they being created properly when I add a member through s2member

2. S2member is not sending the email to users with passwords even when I add them manually in s2member admin

Would it help if I gave you wp- admin access?
