First make sure you have Deactivation Safeguards enabled, so you don't lose your s2Member data, and don't forget to save the changes after you modify the setting. WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Deactivation Safeguards

WordPress lets you update plugins automatically from the admin area WP Admin -> Plugins. When there are updates for one, it'll show a message under it and provide a link to update it.

Just uploading the files on top of the existing ones via FTP will not always work. It's better to remove the existing directory first and then upload the new one. Here's a guide to upgrade s2Member manually viewtopic.php?f=36&t=247

I hope that helps.

I have recently purchased s2member Pro, but on uploading it to my plugins directory, I get the following message on my dashboard:
"In order to load the s2Member Pro Module, you need the s2Member Framework, v110710+. It's free."

My question is: How exactly to I upgrade to v110710+?

I have 2 zip files available when I log into my s2member account:
s2Member Plugin for WordPress® ( s2member.zip ) — v110710
and
s2Member Pro Module ( s2member-pro.zip ) — v110710

I've downloaded the s2member.zip and imagine I should just unzip it and upload it to my plugins directory, where it will over-write the current version. Then the pro version (which is already uploaded) will work. However, I can't find any documentation to confirm this, and don't want to damage the version I have by mistake.

Is it really just that simple?
Thanks for any help
