Instead of users with membership creating groups in buddypress, can I have a membership option which charges for each group created? This should work something like a job positing, pay for each job you post.

Sure, you can have free registartions. WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Open Registration

Try using the URI restrictions to limit that BuddyPress functionality. WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options -> URI Restrictions

If that doesn't work, you may want to try editing the roles to remove that capability from free members (take a screenshot of the role before you edit it in case you need to reset your edits). https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/

I hope that helps. :)

I am new to S2Members plugin. First let me say it's a great plugin, very well documented and supported.

My Question :

I plan to use s2member with wordpress + buddypress. I want users to register to my site for free (without having to put in credit/paypal information). However, when they want to create a group, they should then be asked to update the membership. This is kind of freemium website, everything expect the group creation is free. They can manage(admin control) the group as long as the membership continues.

I want to know if the free registration (without leaving the website) and later upgrade is possible?

Thanks,
gwu
