I'm not familiar with SimpleForum and there isn't a particular integration for it. That said, if the forum works from WordPress, then you can use s2Member to control access to it in some way.

Try using the URI restrictions first. WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options -> URI Restrictions

You can also try editing the forum's template to add some conditionals to control access to parts of the pages (e.g. avatars). WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Advanced/PHP Conditionals

I hope that helps.

my only issue is i am not understanding which options to use to have

Guests read only access to simple forum
Registered read only access to forum with some benefits of avatar, signature and a few other minor perks
Paid Subscribed member access to post new topics in forums with full profile options and other perks

is this doable?
thanks!
