My client's account was upgraded to PRO (that was the initial issue) but now when I login to website preferences and REQUEST API CREDENTIALS I'm only given user name and password, NO SIGNATURE. Nothing else had chance on my end but I now get an error message:

"Error #10002. Authentication/Authorization Failed. Username/Password is incorrect."

I fund another thread in your site related to it ( viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14626&p=32508&hilit=Error+%2310002.+Authentication%2FAuthorization+Failed.&sid=d91ff4011756463db9a6fdb91fd5ff49#p32444 ) but my case don't see to be the same so I wonder if something has changed in paypal since I'm not given with a signature string and I've done this many times before.

After further checking I confirmed that my customer's paypal account was not upgraded to PRO account, although I thought this could work with a 'business' account seem like is not really the same, huh?

"Error #10501. Invalid Configuration. This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration."

Is there any kind of checklist to troubleshoot what could be happening here?

I think I've read not having the SSL set up so far won't affect, or could this be the reason for this?

Any particular fields I should look into paypal set up?

I know you guys are fast responder and I'm sorry I didn't post this earlier but I was digging into reading the forum before posting is just that I'm facing a deadline now and not sure what's the best (fastest) approach for this.

Here is the detail regarding the error code #15005.
You will find these error codes documented at length inside paypal-pro-api.pdf, which is included with /s2m-pro-extras.zip, available inside your account at s2Member.com.
Code:
15005 Processor Decline
This transaction cannot be processed. The transaction was declined by the issuing bank, not PayPal. The merchant should attempt another card.

I also had this arrise here recently with someone on my site:

Error# 15005

Really not sure why, but it didn't accept the card. What do you make out of that? I know it's denial code of some sort But how it relates to S2, I have no clue...

https://dollarapagescriptreading.com/

1. The site WILL NOT redirect to a specified thank-you page no matter what I do.
a. I've inserted the "success" code into the actual page that "calls" PayPal for the payment.
b. I have auto return enabled in PayPal settings with the "thank-you" URL set for redirect to that page (in PayPal).

2. The other thing I've noticed, that after I pay, there is a link that directs me back to a WP login that would essentially take the user where they wanted to go, but I don't like how it looks. I want them to go to the "thank-you" page. I've attached a screen shot that shows what happens when payment is made. It shows the login that actually wasn't there before. I'm not sure what it is, but the inspect element says it's an S2member thing. Screen shot 2011-08-24 at 12.42.22 AM.png

3. Also I'll attach a screen shot of the "thank-you" page so you can see what the user is suppose to see. Screen shot 2011-08-24 at 1.08.34 AM.png

I really don't know how detailed I need to be here, but I feel like I've went above and beyond explaining this. All I want is for the site to work correctly, and I'm 99% there! I hope my input here will tell you the right info in order to help me with this last step.

For the return URL on success, you can use the success shortcode attribute. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Pro-Forms -> Shortcode Attributes -> success

So, can you guys tell me if that's all I have to do to get going as far as taking payments on my website?

Also, where exactly is the redirect from PayPal and or payment? I want my users to be taken to a "Thank You" page upon receiving payment onsite or when they come back from PayPal's site. I'm really close to having this complete. Please help?

Here is the URL and screen shot to the Payment Page if it helps:

If you want to take payments on-site, you need PayPal Pro or Authorize.Net and that requires an SSL cert. If you want PayPal to take them off-site, then use the PayPal buttons and you don't need SSL. If you use the PayPal pro-form with PayPal's Express Checkout only, your customer will be required to have a PayPal account and you won't need SSL either.

So now what about that SSL certificate? Do I still need that, or isn't that the point of PayPal PRo???

So after I get the Private SSL, upgrade to the Pro account with PayPal, what else will I need to do to make this actually work? Will my IPN and PDT change? Any other settings that I need to change? Will PayPal Pro just magically work??

No. Once you obtain a PayPal Pro account, inside your PayPal account generate an API Username/Password/Signature following the instructions provided by s2Member Pro. Then, you should be good, assuming all of your other configuration is accurate. See: s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details. If you've already generated your API credentials, you can skip this part, of course.

IPN/PDT integration remains "as it was". No changes necessary.
