s2Member doesn't haven an account activation process, that's most probably done by BuddyPress, which seems to take over the new user email part. I don't know how to override it. I'll email Jason about it.

I guess you could ask in the BP forum about this, too, what to change so BP lets s2Member handle that part.

Upon registering as a new user we get the generic Activate Your Account message:

Thanks for registering! To complete the activation of your account please click the following link:
http://mydomain.com/activate?key=blahblah


Are there other settings we have to change to generate the custom email?

Also running BuddyPress version 1.2.9 on the site.
