Thanks - I think i've figured out where my understanding was going awry. The refunds had been done manually in Paypal - not initiated from user or s2 panel..

When the USER initiates a cancel the EOT kicks in perfectly and demotes properly -
I was just totally ignorant to how to handle a refund - or how to allow a customer to initiate a refund.
(but truth be told i'm happy with refunds requiring manual intervention)

When i import my list of users they will be coming into the system with preset EOT dates. Which - when tested- worked great :) I wasn't understanding the difference between a buy now with EOT setting vs a recurring subscription which doesnt have a set EOT until a payment is missed or stopped.

~~ I've posted on the other related post to this affect as well. ~~

About the refund, could you please post the the related log entries? WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details -> Enable Logging

I've tried three different payment tests - refunded them and still no Auto EOT shows on the accounts - and the users are still active long after refund is finalized. : / AND today the charges came through for the monthly recurring charges - despite the initial charges being refunded.

Not sure what i'm missing- or how to correct this.

This was my shortcode:
[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form level="2" ccaps="" desc="2 Days @ $5.00 / then $5.00 USD / Monthly ( recurring charge, for ongoing access )" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="USD" dg="0" ns="1" custom="mysite.com" ta="5.00" tp="2" tt="D" ra="5.00" rp="1" rt="M" rr="1" rrt="" rra="2" accept="paypal,visa,mastercard,amex,discover,maestro,solo" accept_via_paypal="paypal" coupon="" accept_coupons="1" default_country_code="" captcha="0" /]

You can see my EOT settings in the other post earlier (linked above)
Help :/

How Long For Paypal EOT on Refund to Kick in?
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15174

But i'm seeing now that there was no EOT ever set in the original sale. That field has always been blank.

If the button was created with original cost for a year, then recurring yearly - wasn't it supposed to set an original EOT of one year?

So- now even after a week after refund no EOT action has been taken.
: /
Appreciate your help in setting me straight.
-grace
