You can still use "URI Access Restrictions", you'll find it under WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> URI Access Restrictions, you can try to block the words /author/ and so any URL that contains "/author/" will be blocked.

thanks for your quick feedback. i am using alternative views and most of the search results on google have been blocked but the one above is still 'live' - i am not using buddypress

Do you use BuddyPress?
If so have you tried "URI Access Restrictions", you'll find it under WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> URI Access Restrictions?

If you aren't using BuddyPress maybe "Alternative Views" can solve the problem, you'll find it under WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options -> Alternative Views.

when i do a search in google for slave2media some links still work, namely

slave2media.com/archives/author/antonyw

is there anything i can do to close this loop hole?
