I wouldn't block the login page with s2Member unless you don't offer people to sign.

If you offer free membership (level 0) then go to WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Open Registration and set it to YES because the default is NO.

I guess my big problem in understanding is that if there login/register page (provided by wp) is hidden/restricted, then how does a person ever login to the site if for example they buy access at home, and then go to work and try to access from their work computer?.... They are entitled to access because they purchased, but they will have no place to login.... I know it can't be like that, and i'm likely making it way more difficult than it really is... but i'm just not 'getting it'.

The "Membership Options Page" is where users will go when they try to access posts, pages, or comments whatever that they don't have access to.

For example I'm user level 0, the lowest level, and try to access a post/page that is restricted to level 4 members only, so s2Member redirects me to the Membership Options Page. In this page I recommend this page is like the membership levels sales page.

The "Login Welcome Page", is where s2Member will redirect users right after they login on your website, so it could be a sales page, a "WELCOME" page, whatever you want.

Initial Login - I don't get it...

Please forgive this question - I know the answer is likely right in front of me but I just can't seen to "get it".

I am setting up the non-pro version of s2member.

During setup process it tells me to create a blank/new page that will later be used for registration/login... I did that.

However, as I go through the documentation it refers to the wp-login/register page and I never see any mention of what to do with the login/register page that the documentation told me to create initially.

So - What do I do with that page?
