Thanks for the heads up on this thread.
For anyone still having trouble with file downloads, please see this thread.

Implement the recommended .htaccess file and this should clear up any remaining conflicts. The .htaccess rule mentioned in this thread will be introduced in the next maintenance release of s2Member, but you can grab it now if you prefer to be ahead in the game.

I had the same issue using FF 9.01, but IE worked fine.

ANd have watched the video - thank you. Will go back and look.

The main issue is that they files are accessible on IE but not other browsers - would this be a restrictions thing?

Thanks guys - yep we're working on the upgrade - my host server is currently going through and upgrade, which will give us the latest version of PHP so we can upgrade to latest s2member ... just no idea how long it will be.

I don't know the PHP version, but I do know it couldn't accommodate the latest s2member.

Have triple checked the download links protection, but will check out the video (I'm not as great with the tech as I like to think I am sometimes ) Thank you!

You should definitely upgrade to the latest version of s2Member, since that feature has been improved several times in the past releases. What PHP do you have?

Hey all,

Having a few issues with some download links on my site.

I've followed the instructions to the letter - and the links are working, but only in IE9 (not sure about previous versions of IE)

Firefox and various other browsers are sending memebrs (those who have access - ie paid membership for Level 1 membership and beyond) are being redirected to the membership options page.

I do have an older version of s2member, as my host is in process of upgrading to suitable version of PHP - is this the issue?

Is there a patch available that will allow access on all browsers?

Is it something else I've done wrong and can it be fixed?
