Thanks for the reply. I actually solved the problem. Originally the register button was there but if I tried to register it would simply refresh the page. It turns out that because I was using custom fields and was going to have wordpress email the password to the user upon signup that the form submission was producing silent errors and failing since I didn't have a password or confirm password field which are required.

I looked at the link you provided and I do see the "Register" button there. That's the submit button created by s2Member for the registration form. Are you referring to something else?

I'm new to s2member and am helping someone combine s2member pro and buddypress registration pages. I've created the registration form with custom fields in s2member pro and assigned the wordpress pages that it'll be associated to in buddypress as well. The only thing I'm confused about is the submit button for the registration page. It doesn't look like s2member creates that submit button. Where do I get it from? What am I missing?
