I just deleted all the free s2member files, re-installed free s2member via FTP, activated, then re-installed s2member pro via FTP. seems to be working now.

hope this works for other people as well!

Not working...anyway you could take a look and try installing it for me?

I'm pretty frustrated with the whole process right now and may just try another solution.

Could you try upgrading to the latest version of WordPress?

You might also want to check this post and check that everything is OK:

Still did not work...

I've never had this much problem installing plugin in before.

Any other ideas?

The S2Member free version is working 100% correct.

I'm going to try and re-install everything together via FTP at the same time.

Make sure you installed the free version correctly, and then put the pro version, but without replacing the free version.

Please try to install the free version through FTP too and see if that makes any difference.

I installed the pro plugin via FTP as well (wp-content/plugins/s2memberpro/)

however, when i go back to my wordpress site, the original S2Member does not give me the Pro features

any ideas?

The problem you're having is because s2Member has to be installed through FTP, you can't install the pro version the way you would normally install a plugin.

Please try following the instructions on this thread and tell me if it helps:

I already have S2 Member installed and set up. Just decided to upgrade to S2 Pro but the zip file (s2member-pro.zip) is not installing.

I'm getting the following error from Wordpress on the add new plugin screen:

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

Plugin install failed.

Return to Plugins page

Somebody please help!
