I was hoping to not have to use that plugin at all and just have people subscribe - I'll think on it from a different direction.

This sounds like something you'll want to consult with whoever created that plugin that allows you to check the levels and send emails. If you share where you got the plugin, I might be able to take a look and figure it out, but it doesn't sound like something s2Member related.

We want all members to receive certain blog posts automatically by email. At present we've added a plugin that needs to have the different membership levels ticked when a post is published. Now we want to add a free subscriber level for people to be notified of the free level posts.
