If you enable open registration, all free members will be set at Level 0 by s2Member. Then you protect your memebers-only content with a minimum Level 0 requirement, which will prevent anyone not logged in (e.g. guest visitors) from viewing that content. If you wanted to have paid members, then they'd be assigned a level 1+ or custom capabilities, and so would be the requirement to access their exclusive content.

Does that answer your question or am I not understanding correctly what you want to achieve?

Thank you for the quick response. But if I enable open registration doesn't that just allow anyone to have access to the pages, post that I have set for members only? I want to be able to control who is allowed to see the members pages or post.

Thank you,
Jim

Then you can manage the access using Level 0 (free members).
