~ and thanks for bringing this to my attention Cristián.

I would recommend NOT using Membership for this, but instead using s2Member Pro Forms for "Specific Post/Page Access". This will allow you to the limit access to just 1 day, or even down to 1 hour if you like.

In addition, your Customers will not even need a Username/Password ( further simplifying things for you ), because content protection is handled in an entirely different way.

This works with Buttons/Forms for PayPal, and can also be accomplished with Google Checkout integration; or even both at the same time if you'd like to offer various payment options. In fact, all Payment Gateways integrated with s2Member support "Specific Post/Page Access".

Please check your Dashboard under these sections:
s2Member -> General Options -> Specific Post/Page Access
s2Member -> PayPal Pro Forms -> Specific Post/Page "Buy Now" Forms
s2Member -> PayPal Buttons -> Specific Post/Page "Buy Now" Forms
s2Member -> Google Buttons -> Specific Post/Page Buttons

So, let me see if I understood: you want to sell 24hs access to a page where the person will be able to download files, and you want the requirement (after payment) to be just email and password to keep it as simple as possible.

Did I get it right?

I installed s2Member and am trying to streamline the process of getting from needing to pay to the "paid" content. (which btw I am using s3FlowShield to protect - so looking forward to your Amazon S3 addon)

Ideally I would like a simple 2 step process.

1.
Pay with paypal / google checkout
2.
Takes you to paid content
emails you with
- username (the email address you used to login to paypal/google)
- shortest possible password (content is secure and membership is only 24hours so security is not an issue)

If that is not possible with s2Member or Pro, then if I could have 2 simple fields for registration email and password (email becoming the username and before the @ the firstname if required by WP)
Then they get logged straight in (Currently they have to log in after they register - grrr)

Thoughts?

C
