This seems counter-intuitive to me. I'll see what we can do to improve upon this in the next release. I think s2Member should display "Link Expired" in cases such as the one you've described, just to avoid any confusion about what's actually going on.
This has been updated in the release of s2Member v110815+.

As always, it's a pleasure to hear from you.

Well, this should only happen when/if you have Open Registration enabled. s2Member will make an attempt to validate the paid registration; if that fails ( i.e. the Customer has already registered ), but Open Registration is enabled, s2Member will allow the Customer to register again, but this time with a Free Subscriber status.

I'm not sure if this is a WP 3.2 specific problem but that's what I am running with Buddypress 1.2.9 now.

I have just noticed that the account creation link emailed to paying customers is still active after a succesful registration following clicking it.

If you click it again, it won't let you register a premium account and it doesn't associate any Paypal info with it, but it does lead to the registration page where users can sign up again, resulting in a Free (subscriber) account.

I think I used to remember the link taking you to a 'link Expired' page when I have tested it before.

Can anyone confirm if this is a bug?

Ross :)
