It does provide the ability to create custom profile fields. WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Custom Profile Fields/Options

For avatar/photos you will need another plugin. Maybe https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-photo/ or https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/se ... p?q=avatar

To list members you can try https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members-list/

Another s2Member user shared a tutorial to create a members list with photos once, which may help you get closer to what you want. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6536

I hope that helps.

I would like my members to each have a profile page where other members can learn more about them (the usual sort of things you see on profile pages-work, interests, favorite quotes, photo or avatar, etc.) I would also like there to be a grouping of those avatars somewhere in a sidebar or separate page so people can see the members at a glance...and a click of the avatar would take them to the profile page.

I can't tell yet from the documentation if this is something that s2member can provide? I think Buddy Press may make it doable, but don't know if that is a good idea for me since I will not want a forum, only some membership tools (similar to the profile pages and "follower" avatars I am used to with Blogger).

Would appreciate any advice!
