Yea, it sounds like you're not being recognized as a logged-in Member at Level #1, because you are criss-crossing the domains, which ultimately criss-crosses cookie authentication within WordPress. Please see this thread: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1066

http://blogcreation.theattractiontrend. ... evel_req=1

I am trying to access this page

http://blogcreation.theattractiontrend.com/module-1/

I setup a subdomain in my host cpanel to redirect

the wp address in the general settings are http://www.theattractiontrend.com/blogcreation/ the site address is setup as http://blogcreation.theattractiontrend.com

everything should be working fine... and I did just update and it didn't solve it.

Thanks for reporting this important issue.

there are three pages that need to be protected, I created the pages and set the page level restrictions to 1 when creating the pages. Now I cannot access them when I am logged in on my account. even when I put it to level 0 the only way I could access was when I set it to no restrictions.
When/if you are denied access, you are sent where exactly? When s2Member denies access, it should redirect you to the Membership Options Page configured for your installation of s2Member. Upon this redirection, s2Member will tag variables onto the end of the Membership Options Page URL in your address bar, with the reason why it denied you access. Can you please post the entire URL that you are redirected to? That might shed some light.

You say you tried a clean WP install with just s2Member and you had this problem?

sorry set to private not unlisted on accident.

I have nothing custom setup, I have nothing special or any apis... this was a completely fresh wordpress install.. all I did was install WP, install Thesis, install s2member, install WPaffiliate, setup member, change member level names, and then followed the writeup for linking the affiliate and s2member plugins... then made some pages. and tried to set them to protected by levels.

I get a "this video is private" message, could you change that seeting, plese? Thanks!

Got it on the plugins and themes. I'll wait for the video to see the restriction settings.

Whatever the settings are, though, you shouldn't have any level restriction applied to you as an admin. Custom capabilities may keep you out even if an admin, though.

Did you edit the roles at all? Maybe you changed something that's causing this?

Do you have this problem in a clean WP install (not that same one without plugins, but a new one) with s2member?

http://youtu.be/NTHTuHdVPfs

hope that helps.

and the only other Plugin was wpaffiliate by tips and tricks.... I turned it off and it still didn't help... I may just have to go without a membership and simply email the link to people and hope they don't share it

edit: I also tried using the stock twenty eleven theme... and it still didn't work.

it doesn't seem to matter if I use S2member with a basic WP install and nothing extra or if I turn on thesis and the affiliate plugin...

it shouldn't matter that the blog is in a subdirectory, it has it's own install and it's own database I made in my CPanel (well the godaddy version) either way... I did everything correct and I have NO idea why this wouldn't be working.... s2member doesn't keep track of whether I've paid or not to access just if you have proper credentials right? and the admin should have ALL of those no matter what?

I'm sure it's something stupid and easy and when it get's solved I'll feel like an idiot, I just cannot launch my product like this and I've already taken WAY more time than I need to.

thanks for all the help hopefully we can get this figured out

Also, did you check if another plugin was causing this problem? As a test, try deactivating every other plugin and see if you can access the pages then.

I've checked all options... everything SHOULD be working... I did go through the setup to link it with the affiliate plugin I use... I can't imagine that's causing the errors but... any ideas?

I have everything working, the wordpress install is inside of another directory of my main website and accessed from a subdomain, everything was working fine, the affiliate paypal linking etc etc until now.

I've only got two levels of access, 0 and 1.

there are three pages that need to be protected, I created the pages and set the page level restrictions to 1 when creating the pages. Now I cannot access them when I am logged in on my account. even when I put it to level 0 the only way I could access was when I set it to no restrictions.

I've searched these forums and I cannot seem to find an answer so thank you in advanced.

here is my access restrictions in case you wanted to see it
