I was looking for similar info... my client's site is using s2member-pro, but paypal setup is ERP only,

The 'Update Billing' form is only valid for paypal customers only, so my guess is the only way a web subscriber can update their billing info if they are non-paypal, is to create a new account?

Well, s2Member Pro Form integrations are designed to Update Billing Info tied to a Recurring Profile. That works with any Recurring Profile, whether it was created through the use of a credit card, or with a PayPal account through Express Checkout. However, you're correct in that ERP is neither of those. ERP is basically PayPal Standard with one restriction removed, the requirement to have a PayPal account.

1. Will I have to regenerate the PayPal button code after I switch to PayPal enhanced recurring payments?
No, that's not necessary.

2. To clarify a point made in viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6413&p=15857&hilit=enhanced+cancellation#p15857, will this cancellation issue occur both with current signups under the Standard PayPal account cancel AND when new sign-ups with the enhanced recuring payments cancel?
No, it's only a problem that occurs specifically with ERP. Normally, a Customer going through PayPal checkout, who is signing up to pay you on a recurring basis, will be required to either have, or be willing to signup for a PayPal account of their own, which is what makes it possible for a Customer to update billing information throughout the course of the subscription with you, and it also provides them with a way to cancel future billing if they desire.

But... with ERP, this requirement to have a PayPal account is removed, and along with that requirement, the Customer now has no way to cancel future billing or update billing information ( i.e. updated credit card details, etc. ). The only way to update/cancel billing, is to contact the site owner directly. In short, this is very limiting, and it's the reason why we recommend PayPal Pro instead.

Yes, s2Member does support PayPal ERP, even in the free version.
Please see: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2634

ERP is essentially still PayPal Standard Integration, with the added benefit that your Customers are not required to have a PayPal account during checkout. So to answer your question, you don't need to do anything special on the s2Member side of things, you just generate your PayPal Button Shortcodes with the generator provided by s2Member.

ERP. Please be aware of this limitation/bug related to ERP on the PayPal side of things.

Do you support this Enhanced Recurring Payments with PayPal?

And, if so, what code do we need to use once we go live with PayPal Enhanced Recurring Payments ?
