Levels can be used without the increasing access with a little work. You can use conditionals like WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Simple/Shortcode Conditionals -> Example #3

You could combine that with the hack Jason shares in the 2nd part of the Custom Capabilities video. http://www.s2member.com/custom-capabilities-video/

I hope this helps. :)

Just bought s2Member Pro, and I love it for my PayPal Pro integration. Here is my situation... My site has three (3) different courses; for each one, I want an independent subscription price (recurring fees) and independent access. Unlike currently with s3Member's "Level 1-4" which build onto another.

For example: I could subscribe to Course A, access its materials, but not access Course B or Course C. Having already subscribed to Course A, if I subscribed to course C, I could access both A and C, but not B. Hopefully this is clear enough, if not, please ask.

I have looked at "custom capabilities", but don't quite understand how it can completely separate the different "Levels" of subscription which I can create in s2Member's PayPal Pro Forms. Ideally I could create a PayPal Pro Form using one level for each course, but then I run the risk of having "Level 3" members be able to access Course A, B and C, even though they just paid for one Course's subscription.

Currently, I can use Level 0 Access to force signup to access the "free protected content", which is great!

So the question is: Are "custom capabilities" what I need to solve my dilemma, or is there a better / alternate solution?

Thanks!
