If you're using a good caching plugin lke Quick Cache, the files are served from a good CDN and the theme is optimized, and no other plugins cause pages to load slow, it shouldn't be a problem soon. At that point, you may need to move to a better server. I really don't know how high your traffic will need to be to cause you trouble if you have your site properly set up.

You could have the free content and the paid content in separate wordpress installations if you want.

Does that help?

I am not currently having this problem, but wanted to discuss options.

I worked for a company where we had:

website.com on Server A <- free area
members.website.com on Server B <- paid area

The point was keeping the free area fast for visitors and the paid area fast for members.

Is there any way to set s2Member and WordPress up like this or does it not even make sense to do?

Feedback appreciated! :P
