We will certainly consider it for a future release. Honestly though, I'm not familiar with this platform yet. If you have any information you can share which might help us get s2Member integrated, that would be most helpful. API docs, any technical insights you may have, etc.

Hi Jason

I have Wowza 2.0 if you want to check it out. I just need to find it...

Wowza contents are within Wowza installation directory and would be impossible for anyone directly linking to it, that is if you apply all the security protocols that comes with it. If you use JW Player, you can apple a security token that needs to be validated before wowza accept the connection

Wowza is the most secured streaming platform I worked with. On top of that S2member and it's magic.

Having said that, if you are running your own server then you must and well have to backup your hard drives everyday and that can be very costly ..if you are running Terabytes worth of files

I still have my dedicated servers but limiting the media there to what's new, others going to Amazon S3 and CloudFront.

My fears of having all of our media on our dedicated servers are:

Server attacks
Hard Drives Failure
Load Balancing
Streaming to Counties other than the US/Cloud service

Amazon S3 & CloudFront solved all of the above issues.

Now, I am sure it's just a matter of time before Jason integrates S2 with either Wowza or Flash media server, but I am guessing Wowza. Right Jason?

Sam

Current versions of s2Member are designed to support local protected storage options, and also protected storage at Amazon®, using the S3 and CloudFront APIs. Since s2Member is currently not integrated with any other 3rd party applications ( other than with Amazon ), it is not possible to provide you with code samples for others. You might try hiring a freelancer to help you with this though.

The only JWPlayer example that is not related to Cloudfront is using HTTP. Can you give me an example to follow for non Cloudfront servers using RTMP?

Can someone post an s2Member / JWPlayer / RTMPe example that's not specific to Amazon S3 and/or Cloudfront, but instead for people with dedicated hosting elsewhere?

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. Can you explain that class ID you're using? I'm just curious.

I appreciate your help, but actually I'm not having a problem using JW Player embed codes. I can get videos to play on my site. I just can't get them to work with the s2Member instructions when I put content inside the s2member files folder. I was looking for an s2Member example like they provide in the instructions, but one for RTMPe that's not specific to Amazon S3 and/or Cloudfront.

Can someone post an s2Member / JWPlayer / RTMPe example that's not specific to Amazon S3 and/or Cloudfront?

Thanks,
Aaron

Notes:

IP ADDRESS/securestreaming: securestreaming is the name of the application you deployed. It can be anything.

You can adjust the above to use the examples provided by S2Member.

http://www.site.com/mediaplayer-viral/player.swf - mediaplayer-viral can be anything else

skin=http://www.site.com/glow.zip&controlbar.position=over&image=http://site.com/poster.jpg - This is optional

&wmode=opaque - using opaque is lighter than transparent mode. But is you want anything to go over the video like a drop down menu then use the second

I'm running my own dedicated server with Wowza Media Server and a licensed version of JWPlayer. I have s2Member Pro.

The only JWPlayer example that is not related to Cloudfront is using HTTP. Can you give me an example to follow for non Cloudfront servers using RTMP?

PS: Happy Thanksgiving! Today I am thankful for many things, including s2Member Pro and the PrimoThemes staff. Thanks everyone. ;)
