Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for your reply. In the meantime I've found Mingle Forum. It's a breeze to setup, and I think I was able to secure it with s2 by just using the page ID where I put the forum.

Do you foresee any issues or know of anything about Mingle Forum and s2.

Hello,

Either BuddyPress or bbPress.
BuddyPress integrates with WordPress easily.
bbPress is a little more powerful, but requires more work.
