It may not be exactly what you're looking for but you may find this interesting...
API/Scripting > content dripping

Content Dripping is the gradual, pre-scheduled release of premium website content to paying Members. This has become increasingly popular, because it allows older Members; those who have paid you more, due to recurring charges; to acquire access to more content progressively; based on their original registration date. It also gives you ( as the site owner ), the ability to launch multiple membership site portals, operating on autopilot, without any direct day-to-day involvement in a content release process. This requires some PHP scripting.

I just installed s2Member and read the whole thing....

I am new user, so take my reply with a grain of salt. But there is definitely a section for creating protected download links. Have not yet used it.

Hi, this looks like great plugin. I am currently looking for plugin like this, but need two features:

- gradual content delivery - is it possible to deliver content, gradually accross defined period of time? like one post per week based on role/membership level?

- does your plugin protect download links? so it will not be possible to download video... ?
