First off, I love this plugin because of its simplicity, and I've recommended it for use on several websites for clients because they can use it without getting scared. Thanks to the developer(s) for all the work they've done.

At first, I thought this problem was an issue with a single website I was using, but I'm seeing it on two sites now that both use Quick Cache so I'm trying to isolate what the problem could be.

Both sites have a lot of posts and pages, one site is a very high-traffic blog, the other has many pages and posts. When I'm not logged in and clicking around the site (admiring the quick page loads) occasionally, I'll run into a page that loads completely unformatted, as if the style sheet is not loading. When looking at the page source, it turns out that the links to all the site assets have https:// prepended to them instead of the http protocol. Since there is no SSL installed on the server, the assets throw a 404 error and the pages load unstyled. Hitting the clear cache button after logging in fixes this problem, but then I'll find another page or post that has this same problem later on. In one case the home page had the problem, which obviously was a big problem, so I've had to disable the plugin on the production site. The site itself is here, but I can't turn the caching plugin back on until we get this resolved so I don't know if the site will be able to show what's going on:
http://blog.sfmoma.org/

I didn't build this site, just did some upgrades and template changes over the past 6 months, but I've got it on pretty good authority that they NEVER had ssl installed on their servers, so the https protocol was never used before I came on. Not sure why it's showing up now.

I've isolated Quick Cache as the problem, as I've disabled all other plugins, checked server logs, and it doesn't happen at all when the cache is turned off and/or I'm logged in, but happens after repeatedly re-installing, upgrading or clearing the cache.

Both servers are running PHP 5.2 and one server was running Wordpress 3.2 until yesterday. The problem happened on 3.2 and continues with the latest versions of Wordpress AND Quick Cache. Any information or ideas will be appreciated. I'd really hate to try to find a different caching plugin or go back to Super Cache, but I can't use this in production if it keeps happening. Thanks again! -Matt

Went to the Setup link and got a 403 Forbidden Page error. The s2member options menu shows up on the left of the dashboard, but no matter what I click on that, I get the same error :(

Any help?
Thanks in advance.

Example: I want to hide "Download" text, the "Download" text will contain a url to the a file. I've tryed with URI but is not working. If download text have the url to http://85.25.000.00/download/february/test-file.mp3 i puttet on URI /download/ also /download, /february/ , etc. And is still visible.

So is there any solution to hide Download from guest, and to be avanible only to Leve 4 users? And also to be done automatically, without addig [private][/private] and things like that. Sorry for my bad english :)

I have a website where I offer digital information in the form of videos and articles.

Let's say I have 20 categories - I am planning to sell access to each category separately. My main website is simply a store front, all my categories containing the articles and videos are "hidden" by not being displayed on the navigation menus or home page. Therefore, the only way customers can access these is for them to have the correct link to the category.

My question is, if a customer buys access to Category 2 am I able to automatically send them an email link to Category 2. If so, what about if they bought access to several categories is one transaction, would I then be able to send multiple emails with links to Category 2, 5 and 10 for example?

Does anyone know if this is possible? If so, how? If not, do you know another way I could accomplish this? Any other software etc, is Paypal alone capable of this?

Any advice would be excellent,
Thanks
Rich

Buddypress (current, default template)
Assigned recommended S2Member Pages: Membership Options, Login Options.

Problem:

Restricted posts that appear in the Activity thread do not redirect to Membership Options page, but link to Page Not Found.

Settings:

I have identified a category using WP ID, and entered and saved the category number here:

S2MemberPro > Restriction Options > Category Access Restrictions > Categories That Require Level #0 Or Higher > (the category #).

I created a post, set the Post Level Restriction to Require Level #0 or Higher, selected a restricted Level #0 or Higher category, published the post, and then viewed its summary in the Activity list.

ACTIONS TESTED:

When logged in as Level #0 user, click on the title of the post in the Activity thread. The link is automatically re-directed to the post.

When not logged in, click on the title of the post in the Activity thread. Link redirects to Page not Found.

TESTING VARIABLE SETTINGS:

(1a) Changed restricted S2Member post to unrestricted category.
(1b) When not logged in, post title in activity thread redirects to Page Not Found.

(2a) Changed post to no S2Member restrictions, unrestricted category.
(2b) Post title in activity thread opens to respective page.

(3a) Changed unrestricted post to restricted category.
(3b) Post title in activity thread opens to Page Not Found.

(4a) Scrolled to default Category list widget in sidebar, clicked on the respective restricted category.
(4b) Automatically redirected to Membership Options page.

My client is using s2Member Pro to sell access to specific posts. The client is negotiating a deal with several universities to allow their students free access to the entire site. For example, all subscribers with an @school.edu email address would gain free access to all the posts. I would very much appreciate any advice on how to accomplish this, or something similar.

I'm creating a site which have premium content, only those who have paid a one-time fee get access to that content. The site will have pay buttons from DigiResults, but in the bottom it's based on paypal

So what I want is that when the customer has paid his fee then an email should be sent to the customer containig his login details to get access to the premium content.

So thinks I don't understand is how to create the login details when user pays for a product. I could do a work around and create a simple user and give all paying users the same login details (but that is not a good approach - hope s2member have some features which solves this)

Also despite this is a one-time fee, I assume when I configure it in s2member I specify the pages in access level 1, right? Or should it be level 0? I don't want recurring payment on this site so maybe having it on level 0 is right? I'm not sure what is the beset approach here

Currently members are able to sign up online and join the club for a certain amount every year, however my clients want to be able to sign up members in store and issue them a one time use discount code which they can enter on the site and get there membership for free, I know that the plugin wont allow an absolute 100% discount (it charges 1c to the customer) but I need to make sure that every code is for a one time use.

A massive pain in the ass for me because I have to go and generate 10,000 codes to be printed onto membership forms for the stores and I have to enter the 10,000 codes into the plugin.

My question is this, how can I enable each code to be used only once? The current code I have is as follows:

XXXXX|100%

Many thanks in advance.

Really love the work you guys have done on the plugin.

One thing: I find it appalling that user's user_pass is sent in plaintext via email to me on notify of a new registration. How can I censor this so I still receive the email but blank out/censor user_pass.

I've already changed the default email so that the user isn't sent their own user_pass in plaintext (since they set it themselves)

Thanks!
Ryan

I'd like to change the order of my registration fields on s2member.

By default, the fields are (in this order):

    username
    email
    password
    strength of password
    Custom fields

I'd like to do the following:

    First Name
    Last Name
    Email
    Custom Fields
    password
    strength of password

No username as I would like the username to be the email address.

Thank you in advance.

I have the free version installed on a site in testing for a client. Her requirement is this:

Free members are able to access membership pages but need to buy products
There are 2 other member types each with access to download products based on their membership levels. If they do not have rights to automatically download, they will be presented with a buy now button.

Now, I have got this working with custom capabilities and shortcodes - very nice, all is working well.

The main issue I see for my client going forward is when it comes to adding more products, she is going to work with shortcodes and conditionals. I'm planning on handing over with step by step documentation, so she should be able to work through it, but it could get a little confusing.

In the Pro version, is this handled any differently - i.e. is this made any easier for non technical types?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I have 8 video tutorial classes I wish to sell to my students. Each of those videos is broken down into 6 thirty minute chapters. Some of the classes would also have pdfs and other downloadable files for the students.

The students would need to pay for each individual class they'd like to take. They would not be able to access every class being offered- only the one they've paid for.

Some of the classes would have a chapter a day added throughout the course of a week. The student would only have to pay one fee in order to gain access to all of those chapters of the class.

Ideally, each class would also have it's own forum for the students to post questions between each other. This class forum would need to be private so only the students taking that particular class could access it.

Is s2member the solution I need?
Obviously, I'd need to get a video hosting solution that would allow me to embed video on a page that is protected by s2member, correct? Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your time! I sincerely appreciate it!

Please let me know what version this feature might be available on.
