Automatic mailchimp subscription

Hi there.
I understand the latest version of S2Member automatically places new subscriber emails in a mailchimp account (for those of us who use mailchimp for their email marketing).
I just installed the latest release, subscribed as a test and was sent an email by mailchimp to double opt in.
Am I missing something?

Cheers.

I didn't expect to be sent a double opt in email.

Ah, I see what you mean.

This is a thread that talks about it and has a hack you could try to remove the double opt-in from the MailChimp integration viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2930

I think this needs to be looked at, because we are asking people to double opt in as a member then again as an email subscriber. And we all know what it says in the website design book - don't make me think. We must make it as smooth as possible to get people on the mailing database.

Here's a better one possible with the new version, which I had forgotten about, but the good thing about this one over the one I showed you earlier, is that this one will keep working after an update. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6408#p15725
