[Not Resolved] Latest S2 Member Update Broke My Site!

Site:
http://retrieverlife.comIssue: My site is running S2 Member to restrict access to certain parts of my site like the gallery. Otherwise it is open to anyone without requiring membership login. After the most recent update my site is forcing folks to the membership options page if they are not logged in when they are on the home page
http://retrieverlife.com (for example) which is not a page that requires membership.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Toni

Ok. I think I fixed it. I just deactivated S2 Member and then reactivated. Everything appears to be working again!

Hey Toni, I can access your homepage no problem.
Have you checked all of the settings in the backend just to double check you haven't protected anything that shouldn't be protected?

Actually it looks like I spoke too soon! My site is still broken. Any ideas? Is there some setting that can affect my home.php?

I checked all of the settings in the S2 dashboard. I am not seeing anything set that affects my home.php which is my home page. It seems like it started showing the behavior of redirecting to the membership options page unless I am logged in which is not the correct behavior...

I am going to need to pull the plug on S2 Member unless I can get this resolved. My home.php now requires level 0 membership which is not the correct behavior. This happened after I updated S2 Member. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Toni

Did you happen to select your home page as the Login Welcome Page?

Hello
Heavy theme!! Wow, 38 JavaScript running just on the home page...
Deactivate all your plugins ..just leave S2M, clear your browser cache and try to load your site.
Check your .htaccess file..you may have something in there that was left behind
As Cristián suggested, check your home page vs the login welcome page
ruri-Lw%3D%3D& what page is that? ?s2member_seeking=ruri-Lw%3D%3D&s2member_level_req=0

Yes I did. It worked before the update do I need to change something to make that work? I have cleared my cache and I get the same behavior across multiple devices/browsers.
I have a custom post type called "magazine" which the home page and other pages are built off of. Not sure if that helps.

is the post "magazine" protected by any level? is the home page set as a static page?
Look into your specific page/post restriction...

No protection. It looks like when I remove
http://retrieverlife.com from the login welcome page and switch it to the default Login Welcome Page, everything works fine and lands back on the home page. I guess that makes sense but I am still curious why something changed after the update as everything has been working fine for months.

There has been a change in the way the Login Welcome Page behaves when set to the homepage, if I remember correctly. Not sure what or why it affected what you have, but I know that in general it's given trouble to have the static homepage set as the Login Welcome Page, because then it's protected at Level 0 be default (since it's a page to welcome logged in users).
