s2 / buddypress syncronized or not?

Hi again :-)

Now I was digging a bit more into this new integration with buddypress, and there are a few things:

1. there is no integration in backend (I am referring to those extended fields) - they do only appear in s2, so there is apparently no sync with buddypress in backend
This is very important, as I already have extra fileds defined in buddypress, which seem to have no effect whatsoever in S2 and the other way around ...
Have a fix?
Otherwise I do not see how to apply this on existing sites

2. frontend - edit profile > looks v. nice in the s2 version, but if I look under the buddypress "edit profile" only the fields added in s2 are editable, the "core fields" (those from the basic group - neme, prename, enail) seem not to be editable anymore !??! Anyone experiencing the same or is just the template !??!

Other issue ... whatever was previously definied in buddypress backend (extra fields) obviously does not syncronize with the new s2 edit profile editor (frontend), so !?!? Where's the snyc ?!?!

3. Is there a way, once a user logges in, to check out if the required fileds in his profile were compleated, and only allow him access if he filled them in, otherwise force him to complete the missing fields in profile and keep him there till he's done that?

Thank you v.much!

I emailed Jason about this, since I'm not as familiar with this integration. If I understand correctly, the integration shares s2Member profile data with BuddyPress, but not the other way. Jason will correct me if I'm wrong or explain it better if it's right.

Thanks for the excellent questions and feedback.

No, I'm not sure I would classify s2Member's integration with BuddyPress as "synchronization". Rather, s2Member extends it's ability to deal with Custom Registration/Profile Fields into BuddyPress. That is, Custom Registration Fields you create with s2Member, can be integrated with BuddyPress registration forms, BuddyPress profile editing panels, and public profiles. However, this is a one-way integration. BuddyPress does not integrate with s2Member yet, s2Member integrates with BuddyPress.
