Paypal Micropayments Any Advices?

Postby guardian » June 13th, 2011, 9:09 am

Hi!

I admit it, I should have consult you guys before doing this.

I changed the settings of my Paypal account for Micro Payments. Here is the email I got from Paypal:

You've been granted special merchant rates for micropayments processed through PayPal for Digital Goods (Express Checkout). Effective immediately, your new rates are:

5.0% + $0.05 USD to receive payments.

To keep your new micropayment merchant rate, you must:

Keep your PayPal account in good standing.
Continue using Express Checkout for processing digital goods payments.

Before going further, is the plugin will still work fine with this MicroPayment option?

Thanks

I see Digital Goods mentioned in that message. Although I'm not familiar with that service, I know s2Member is being prepared for integration with that but is not ready yet. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Buttons/Pro-Forms -> Shortcode Attributes (Explained) -> dg

I'm guessing you could try generating a button over at PayPal and use it with s2Member. This thread gives some instructions on how to do it: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=309

I hope that helps. :)
