One of my member's photos for their profile shows up in their "Profile" but not when they post (has gray generic). It also doesn't show in the "Users" section of Wordpress. However it does show up in the "Directory".
Thoughts?

What plugin are you using for that? Have you asked the its developer about this? He'll be more familiar with it.
