How to email or contact all my subscribers?

I would like to be able to email all my subscribers, and perhaps send a different email to different levels. What is the best and most efficient way to do that?

Thanks!
Dianne

Hi Dianne.

You could try a plugin that lets you email your users, or use a List Server like MailChimp. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / List Servers -> MailChimp

What if I don't care for mailchimp? Shouldn't I at least be able to download my list of subscribers?

Oh, I see that it integrates with aweber, that's good, I use aweber. Will I be able to integrate it with the existing subscribers or just new ones?

@chestanch ... Yes, it works, and you can subscribe / unsubscribe to multiple lists as your customer moves from a free level to each paid level. It's awesome.

s2Member integrates with external mailing list systems, such as MailChimp and/or AWeber. s2Member also allows you to configure different lists for each Level, so this is how you'd handle that part. If you're using MailChimp, s2Member also supports the concept of Interest Groups with MailChimp, which is a tool that may also help you in this regard; without even needing to create separate lists. You can learn more about Interest Groups inside your MailChimp account.

With s2Member Pro, you can Export your existing Users, and then import them into your mailing list system, whichever service that might be with. Almost all list servers allow you to import existing subscribers. Once your subscribers are all imported, you'll want to use use your list server to send emails out, in whichever way you choose.

For more information, please check your Dashboard under:
s2Member -> API / List Servers

Okay - I was able to set up the integration with my aweber - I had to create two new lists in aweber to match up with the two levels of subscribers. New subscribers are appearing in both S2 on my wp admin panel, and also in the aweber list.

HOWEVER, existing subscribers in the S2 list on my wp admin panel are not getting transferred over to the aweber list. How can I transfer the existing S2 subscribers to my aweber list that is now integrated with S2?

First, you will need to pull an export file of all User accounts on your site. With s2Member Pro, you can Export your existing Users, and then import them into your mailing list system, whichever service that might be with. Almost all list servers allow you to import existing subscribers. I can confirm that AWeber does allow this as well. s2Member Pro is a great tool for exporting User accounts, along with all of their associated membership details. The export file can then be opened in Excel, OpenOffice, or even just a plain text editor if you like. You will need to follow the import instructions provided by AWeber.
