Free 30 day trial subscription/no payment entry

Can someone recommend the easiest way to set up a 30 day free trial subscription (user will enter Email and login will be required). My client does not want to require the entry of payment info at that time - they will enter payment info after 30 days if they want to join).
I have S2Member Pro and will be using Authorize.net for paid subscriptions.

Hi Beth, that is a pretty simple case ... you would do something like:

Go to s2Member --> Other Gateways and enable Authorize.net ...

Logout, log back into WP Admin. (Otherwise you won't see the new options on the left)

Then go to s2Member --> Authorize.NET Pro Forms --> Authorize.NET Pro Forms / Free Registration Forms section in the WP Admin.

You'll copy and paste something like the following in a new page that will be dedicated to the registration form:

Code: Select all
[s2Member-Pro-AuthNet-Form register="1" level="0" ccaps="" desc="Signup now, it's Free!" custom="members.learnvisualstudio.net" tp="0" tt="D" captcha="clean" /]

Does this get you closer?

Also, I think you need to change the tp="0" to tp="30" ... otherwise the free membership will be indefinite. Hope that helps!

Thanks Bob! :)

Beth, Bob's answer is pretty complete and correct. You don't need to log out and back in when you activate the gateway, though, just save and refresh will do. For the shortcode, you also want to change the level attribute to the one you'll be giving the trial for: level="1".

Thank you! This worked perfectly. (at least I assume it will - final update in 30 days!)
