I'll admit that I didn't read all the instructions before I began creating the site. I built my PayPal button in s2member but I had PayPal redirect to a Google doc for a registration form instead of the s2member registration form. Now I have members who have paid for a subscription to the site but are not listed as site members by s2member.

I guess I could add the users manually and send them their user id and password but I would rather let them choose their own user id.

If I send them the s2member registration link, will s2member know that they've paid (like a few days or weeks ago) by their email address? How does that work?

Well, if you had the person go elsewhere instead of the registration page, then s2Member didn't find out about it. What you can do is create their accounts manually, and set the role they paid for as well as an EOT time. If you let the person register after payment, s2Member will take care of those things for you with new users.

I've got the s2member registration setup now for future members. So, I guess this time they'll just have to live with the username I choose for them. Now I know. Thanks very much for your help.
