Forum and s2Member

Postby cassel » June 24th, 2011, 1:54 pm

I read the various suggestions about forums that would integrate with s2Member and i found that Mingle Forum looks very promising. I checked it, installed a test version on my test site and since it is simply a page in WP it is very simple to add a ccap to that "page". So it all looks good, and i could probably work with it as is. However, i always seem to want something more (dont we all?). So here is something i would like to see and i do not know if it is feasible or not.

I will have the forum set up for questions and answers about a specific course, a bit like a classroom. Only those with paid course will be granted access. However, i plan on having more than one course, and i would like to set up different "classrooms" for each so the members enrolled in course A will not get access to classroom B.

Can the access to the different categories be granted with a conditional? If so, just give me the basic direction. If not, i will look into separate Mingle Forum installations, maybe one installation per classroom?

Anyone already did that before?

I don't know how to restrict access to Mingle forums with conditionals, sorry, but I would try to have a separate forum for each access, if the plugin allows it.
