Hi we are having a problem with our login after we set up everything and we started testing we are not able to to navigate around on the site. we want it set up so free members have access to everything but watch live.
we have gotten support from Ross and he could not work out the problem.
He told us to submit a forum and then you would ask us to send our information so you could go to our admin panel and work out the problem?
Please Reply Quickly As We Are Working To Get This Site Done As Quickly As Possible.

What do you mean by not being able to navigate the site? What kind of restriction did you set up with s2Member and what account level are you using to test it?
Could you explain in more detail what the problem is, what you did and what happens?
Screenshots would help too, like of the restrictions page with all the panels expanded. WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options
What versions are you running of WordPress, s2Member and s2Member Pro (if you have it)?

When we set the restictions we did every thing the tutorials told us to but with our own info.
We have had our setting checked by Ross Grant and he has confirmed that everything we has set is correct Now the problem we are having is when you login in as a free member when a member logs in they are still geting directed to the membership singup page???
Like i said before we already had someone go in to our account and try to fix this and the tried for an hour and a half, they told us to submit a fourm and then you would contact us to get our information, he also told me that it is most likly a incompatability with our theme and our best shot for fixing it would be to contact you so you could go in and alter the code to make it work.
please contact me for login details
Please help
We also would like to thank you for your support and for your grate membership plugin we have experimented with many and this is the best one and is the most user friendly one yet.
keep up the good work and we hope you can help us with our problem.
We are trying to launch the site on Tuesday.

Thanks for the kudos, Kevin. I'll try to help you have it ready on time. I don't login to user's dashboards, only Jason does that, and as a last resort, which is why I need you to please answer my questions here while I try helping you first.
I understood what you told me. I'd like to know what versions you are running of WordPress, s2Member and s2Member Pro (if you have it)?
What URL did you set as the Login Welcome Page? What's the URL of your Membership Options Page?
WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Login Welcome Page and
Membership Options PageDo you have a static home page or does it have the latest posts? If static, which is it?
WP Admin -> Settings -> Reading -> Front page displaysWe'll continue with the conversation here, but you can send me the URLs using this form if you prefer to keep them private
http://s2member.com/contact/Also show me here a screenshot of the restrictions page with all the panels expanded, please.
WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options

JavaScript conflicts are usually easy to correct.
Can you please post a URL to your site please?
We'll take a look for you.

We have sent you all of our information in a privet message. and also could you look in to the other issue of logging in and not having subscriber access. we have not tried Paypal so tell us when you are done and we will test it and see if it was fixed by what you did.
Im also don't understand what you mean by A URL. our site URL is
http://www.hillbilliesville.com we have deactivated the plugin to go on with our work but will need it fixed to continue with the launch of the website.

Thanks for the follow-up.Sorry, I didn't get anything on this end, can you please send again?
Also, we'll need s2Member activated on your installation to see any JavaScript conflicts associated with it:
http://www.hillbilliesville.com/If that's not possible, I would suggest setting up a test installation with the default WordPress theme and no other plugins, only running s2Member. If the problem goes away, that would indicate that a plugin conflict is occurring. So with that information, you can go back through the other plugins/themes you're running, removing one at a time until you find the one that is causing a conflict with s2Member.

Kevin, if you have a JavaScript problem without s2Member installed, then it's definitely not an s2Member conflict. You should find what plugin is causing the problem anyway, deactivating each plugin until you find the problem is gone, like Jason suggests above. When you find the one, look for another plugin that does what you needed it to do, or contact that plugin's developer, he could help you solve it.

No it is s2member we have turned it off so we can continue working on the website until it is fixed.I turned off all of the plugins and yours was the one that messed up the java script. I know it's s2 member and i have tested it to see for sure.
The problem we are having is when it's turned on it messes the whole site and when you try to login as a subscriber it won't let you access the content. our theme provider told us to contact you to fix the problem
Please help us}
Thank you
We have been having trouble getting this working for a while, we just thought you should know that we have had the problem looked at by an experienced user and he says that there is a code problem and we need to contact you.
Thank You.

Hello, We have been requesting help now since last Friday and nothing has been firth coming,. We have sent all details several times and we are getting no response. Please advise your intentions. We are currently launching 7 membership sites and were VERY impressed with your video's. The service however since we have requested help has appeared to be absence? unfortunately we do not know. In previous posts we have advised the urgency?
If you do not intend assisting us please advise immediately and if you do intend help please advise what you intend to do. We will have to move to another product if we do not get a reply in a timely manner and also do not get the problem resolved in a timely manner.

We have followed your instructions and established that your product is the conflicting one by using your recommended testing procedure.
The key issue is that when activated a member is being treated as if they are not logged on after they have been.
We like your product can you help us resolve the problem? As I mentioned above we are launching 7 member sites at the moment and will be looking for more and more advanced membership features as we move forward, our confidence in using your product depends on your service and assistance.

We hold ourselves accountable to our customers, partners, and employees by honoring our commitments, providing results, and striving for the highest quality. Our work is based on the belief that products and services are only as strong as the support team standing behind them.
What a JOKE!

Hi Kevin.
I'm waiting for Jason to take a closer look now, and he's been quite busy with the new release that's coming out, including things related the new WP 3.2 release that just came out and a few other things for s2Member. That said, his last reply to you was just 2 days ago, not too long considering how busy he's been the past couple weeks.
I try to help all I can, and I require data from the user to help me figure out what the problem may be. I requested from you a few things above
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10360&view=unread#p22152 and I still haven't got them. You replied 2 days after that post and did send an email without what I requested.
Instead, you seem to assume we should go into your website and do the installation of s2Member and configure everything for you. That's a paid job that most of the time we can't even take because of how busy development of the plugin is. Yet, very often we go beyond what we need to do just for support of the plugin and offer customization scripts and ideas that help our users.
I don't login to user's dashboards, Jason sometimes does if really needed, after we exhaust what we can do here in the forum. Yet he offered to take a look for you in his post above, he just hasn't been back yet.
I'm sorry you're not satisfied with the support experience so far, but if you send me the information above, I can try to help you.

Thanks for a reply. We can not read your mind and we feel you have not been reading our replies fully as your last comments shows that.
The Plugin is installed
We have tried to use it and there are many errors when we start blocking pages.
If you want me to fully reactivate the plugin i will, it takes moments,
Here are the errors
We have a slide show on the home page and it stops and that is the first error.
The second error is when we turn on the blocks and place in a free membership button and the Paypal buttons it won't allow members access to the pages that are for free subscribers or allow paid subscribers access to paid subscriber content.
Like i said in the first forum i contacted a experienced user, he went into our dashboard, looked and said there are lots of errors and we needed to contact you because there was no way he could fix it for us.
he also said that we had everything set correctly.
The reason we turned the membership plugin off is because we still have to work on the site so it is ready for launch.
We looked at a lot of software before yours and we like yours but we need the code errors fixed by someone who knows how to fix those errors, we do not know how to fix code errors.
We do not want to complain, however we are trying to run a business and looking to find a product and company that is serious about us and also serious about assisting. Our needs will eventually go way beyond this free plugin, we have faith in your product, we will make our judgement on a long term commitment based on how you resolve this.
If you do not want to fix the code and can not do it in a timely manner we will use another plugin.
Please reply fully and make a commitment one way or the other.
WE can activate the plugin as soon as you advise us to. We need this resolved today.

Got it. I can't promise when Jason will be around in the forums, but I am on and off all day. I really can't make progress without the info I asked above to get a better picture of how you tried to set it up. You can also ask that user you contacted before to please share his views here.
About the JavaScript, it seems to be a conflict with your theme's script for the slides. I'm not very experienced with JS, Jason takes care of helping with those, but would you please quote what the Firefox Error Console says when you load a page with conflicts? This video may help
http://www.s2member.com/options-page-di ... ing-video/ (the name mentions the options pages, but it's really about JS conflicts and what to do)

Cristian, it seems that this problem needs to be resolved by Jason.
We have had your experienced user look at every setting from our dashboard.
He said that he took time and could see that we had everything set correctly, .
He made it very clear that it is a code issue/ conflict with the Theme, we do not want to keep going round in circles.
Yes as we advised in our first communication it is a issue with the Theme, your experienced user said while he could not fix this Jason could very quickly and that you guys would have this sorted in an hour or two from his experience.
I appreciate that you have all sorts of other priorities, if you give us a specific list on questions we will reply immediately, however from my observation, the problem we are having here is that Jason is the only one who can resolve this and he is not available. I guess you are in a tough spot trying to help but not able and or unsure when Jason can help?
How are we realistically going to manage this situation?, we do not need to be wasting time or going in circles. Can you contact Jason and get a commitment one way or the other?
Please respond with specific questions so we can help you help us. Please lets focus only on what is 100% relevant to resolving our problem, In relation to the Firefox error, we are not receiving an error it is stopping operation of the site features.
My cell number is 615 879 4634 to give Jason instant access to us. We have to know for sure this issue is going to be resolved in a timely manner or we will have to proceed with an alternative product. I am sure you understand this.
Please let us try and get this resolved. We will review the video and comment immediately.

Reviewed the video and while it is informative, it appears we are past that and have a code issue that Jason needs to look at. I will ask Riley to locate the errors but I am guessing that your experienced user has already done that, and hence his comments and advice. Riley is away for the next hour, i will revert to you on his return but suggest we focus on the comments I made in my previous post above!

So we have no idea when Jason will be able to look at this? I am assuming that he has access to this all 100% of the time and the problem is now almost a week old. I am very impressed but if he is the only person who can help, it makes it very difficult for you and us and probably him. We will see what happens but we are now looking at other options and we will see what happens.

Riley has reviewed the video and he has told me it is not a java script issue, but a code issue between our theme and your plugin. He advised that this is what the experienced user has already told him, sorry for any confusion on my part.
It is absolutely imperative that we get some help from Jason to resolve the compatibility issue urgently.

I also understand you can not do anything more other than get Jason to look at this and also am guessing you do not have nay access to him, otherwise you would be able to give us a time line. i am sorry you are the meat in the middle so to speak! Is there a direct contact option for Jason? I am sure he would not be happy if he was in place waiting with no idea when help would actually be forth coming.

I have now reviewed all our communication and realize we had provided everything needed to establish we need Jason to look at this last Friday. it may be best for us to go elsewhere? if you can not give us somersetting definitive soon we will remove your product and move on to something else?
