Currently on our site, a customer is sent a book with membership. Is there any way to have the customer asked for their address upon payment?

Have you tried the ns shortcode attribute? WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Buttons -> Shortcode Attributes (Explained) -> ns

ns="1" The no_shipping directive. Possible values: 0 = prompt for an address, but do not require one, 1 = do not prompt for a shipping address, 2 = prompt for an address, and require one. Not valid when cancel="1".

How do I implement this?

In the shortcode you create for your button, change the ns value to 0 to ask for it, or 2 to require it.
