After I upgraded s2member, I've lost all admin capabilities. I'm sure I did something wrong but am at a loss how to fix it. I cannot 'save' new pages/posts and I cannot make changes to existing posts/pages.

Try to uninstall and reinstall. Could be a possible plugin conflict You may need to login through FTP and delete the plugin from there.
