Pre-Purchase Question about wrong user levels

Hi,

I'm playing around with the free version of s2member + Buddypress.
My goal is to create a paid membership site where members can create their own blog farms, based on s2member levels... level 1 = 1 blog, level 2 = 5 blogs etc etc.

Now I've installed Buddypress + the Buddypress default theme and configured s2member for multi site usage.

And I have a problem were I can't find a solution...

I created a few test members via the s2member --> Add a Member menu. Then I realized while looking on my mainblog, that in the admin nav bar of the Buddypress default theme, users see my main blog listed under their "My Blogs" menu... with links to my main blogs Add new post, dashboard etc etc. Even though they don't have posting rights, I created the users right away as "s2member level 1" users.

Then I added some test users via the Super Admin --> Users -- Add new user menu. Logged in as that user, set up my blog (exactly the same way I did it with the test users before) and there it works... In the admin nav bar these users only see their own blog listed in the "MyBlogs" menu...

Why is that? Because it works as expected when I add a new user via the Super Admin menu, I think that indicates that it's a problem with s2member, or a wrong setting in s2member?

In the end I want to use the s2member PRO version, but before I buy the multi site license I would like to know that everything works as expected with BP + s2...

Thanks,

Marc

Hi again,

could you please answer the question... I really want to buy the multi-site license but you will understand before I drop around $600 I need to be sure that I can do exactly what I want to with s2member, buddypress + wordpress :)

The point is, I don't want to give members access to the main blog's admin + dashboard area... They are supposed to only stay on the frontend, but for some reason members that are added through the s2member "Add User" function, see my main blog in the Buddypress admin bar with links to the main blogs write post, edit post pages etc.

But if I add those members via the wordpress add user page they don't see the main blog as theirs (as it's supposed to be)

I don't think I gave wrong permissions, I double and triple checked everything

To me, this is a wierd problem, but a serious one.
