I'm writing to see if anyone can assist me in discovering a way to best modify/expand the email message that is sent to new members upon registration.

I believe it is a generic message embedded somewhere in WP, and would like to add some additional text.

From the s2Member section in the left-hand WP navigation, select PayPal Options, and on that screen you'll see two sections for editing the confirmation messages.

Unfortunately the suggested fix doesn't appear to work, because the PayPal Options page only modifies messages after payment through PayPal. In my particular application, I need to modify the message sent to members who register as free.

(but thanks anyways - I should have been more specific in my original post)

Does anyone else have a suggestion? I honestly think this feature (if it's not) should be integrated into s2.
