logging in via bp admin link won't redirect to welcome page

I am using s2M ver 3.3.2 and current BP.
All is well except that when a user logs in via the bp-core-adminbar.php log in link they are taken to the home page and not the Welcome page(s) I have set up.
Details:
There are 2 ways a user can log in. A normal login via a BuddyPress panel works fine. There is another Admin login link that appears at the top that when clicked takes the user to the WP/S2member login form, but you can see the url at the top of this page is set to redirect to the home page.
i.e.
http://mysite.com/wp-login.php?redirect ... mysite.com
If the user logs in with:
http://mysite.com/wp-login.php or via the BuddyPress login panel it redirects to the welcome page fine.

Problem is I don't know how to change the admin link to get rid of the redirect to the home page as this appears to be core BP and I'm not messing with that.

Also, along these lines ...some users will try to log in via wp-admin/wp-login.php is there a way to redirect them to the welcome page as well?

Boy I sure wish someone can help with this. This is very frustrating. As much as I love the plugin little stuff like this never seems to get responded too in this forum.
Why does Buddypress have two types of logins to begin with? or more specifically if this is core BP code why can't s2Member handle it?
Jason I hope you can help me with this, its pretty important.

Never mind. After further testing it appears that this is being caused by a plugin or another change that was made. Why it would only affect the BP adminbar login function I have no idea. If someone knows of a particular plugin or other code change that would cause the redirect to always go to the home page please let me know.
