When a person reaches a page that is not configured to send the person to Membership Options but instead show another content (teaser) using conditionals, what happens to the comments?

Does one have any control over the permission to comment or not, see them or not? Are the only options to enable or disable for all?

I don't want to disable them, but also don't want people without the right access for the advanced content, to see the discussion in the comments below. How can this be achieved?
