The success of this API call means that the new User was accepted by MailChimp, and MailChimp then sends them a confirmation email. If they don't click the Confirmation Link in that email, they're not added by MailChimp. Did the User confirm?

I had to manually add that one so that they'd get the product the next day. I can reach out and ask them.

I think the right way to do this is for me to create a second, $0.01 product and do a few test runs to see if it's working. I'll do that tonight.
