Importing existing Custom Fields

I am using the "Cimy User Extra Fields" plugin already on my site to collect 3 custom fields.
I understand that S2Member Pro imports/exports. I am currently testing the free S2Member and understand that I can create Custom Registration fields. Now I wan't those "Cimy" custom fields into the "S2Member" custom fields... and then won't need the "Cimy" plugin.

my question:
is it possible to bring those existing 3 "Cimy" custom fields into the S2Member system?
and if so... do i need the pro version?

with the pro version, would i export all my existing users and then import them again to bring those "Cimy User" custom fields into the "S2Member" custom fields?

I'm not sure if the s2Member Pro Export will include those Cimy fields, I guess it'll depend on how they were saved. You can certainly import the fields as s2Member Custom Fields with s2Member Pro's Import tool.

You can also edit each account manually, of course. After creating the s2Member Custom fields go to each profile, copy the Cimy field value to the s2Member field box. After you're done with all the accounts, you can remove the Cimy plugin.

since we have over 800 subscribers... doing this manually is not optimal ;)

I found I can export the "Cimy" fields (along with normal WordPress fields in a .csv) using "Cimy User Manager" plugin.

I guess now I have to purchase the S2Member Pro version and work out what the process is to import the "Cimy" custom fields into the "S2Member" custom fields?

Right. :)

Here's a screenshot of s2Member Pro's Import tool.

sounds like one way or the other... i am doing this manually. With the export/import function, I would still have to configure each member in the csv file... is this correct?

You'd need to edit the CSV file to conform to the format s2Member expects, but you can do a lot of search/replace with an editor to speed it up.
