Uploading S2 pro and nothing happens

I have a s2member installation in wordpress 3.0.3 and everything is working fine. The S2member version is 3.5.8. When I upload the s2member-pro folder to the wp-content/plugins/ nothing happens. It doesnt say anything about wrong versions and also it doesnt create the new options that were supposed to.

What should I do? I didn't find anything like that in the forums.

What version of s2Member Pro are you trying to use?

Is there a reason why you won't update WordPress and s2Member to the latest versions?

I have made some slight changes to includes/classes/sc-profile-in.inc.php

I am a bit afraid of replacing the whole s2member plugin and losing data. I have like 210 members registered.

I downloaded the earliest s2member pro version. I also tried one that already came in the s2member folder. There was a 's2member-pro' inside the free plugin, I tried putting that into the wp-content/plugins/ and it didn't work either.

I see. I don't know then, I would advice you to update the the latest versions. Just be sure to have a backup before the update, have WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Deactivation Safeguards enabled and after making sure you have the new version working, re-apply your customizations.

I tried uploading the latest s2member version (I removed the old one and the pro version first). It showed up at the plugins list, but the s2member tab thats supposed to appear on the left didnt appear. I tried reactivating the plugin and nothing happened.

Did you update WordPress to the latest too?
