Login, Registration Design Problem

Postby hardySykes » July 25th, 2011, 9:52 am

We created custom fields on the Registration Page by following the video tutorial. We are able to view all changes when we click on the link located in the s2Member-General Options-Login/Registration Design

http://hustleheads.com/wp-login.php?action-register

We want to have this exact look on our Registration Page. When we copy the source code from this link to the Registration Page created we get formationg errors. However if we copy and past the same source code into DreamWeaver everything is correct (just like the link). Are there addtional steps we need to perform or is there a bug?

We assume this solution for this would be the same for the login page?

Do you mean having that registration form in another page of the website?

In the s2M Introduction video we created two pages. The Login Welcome Page and the Membership Options Page. We followed the steps in the video but renamed our pages to the following: Login and Registration. These pages appeared in the navigation bar of the theme. However, when to went to s2Member-General Options-Login Welcome Page and selected out page login and went to s2Member-General Options-Membership Options Pages and selected Registration then saved the changes. When we click on the Login and Registration links created on the navigation bar they do not show the customize pages.

Ok, the use of the name "Login" was confusing me because that to me is the one located at /wp-login.php, but I understand now that it's the one you created a page for the Login Welcome.

Could you please give me the URLs to the Login Welcome Page and the Membership Options Page?

These are the urls:

Login Welcome: http://hustleheads.com/login/
Membership Options Page: http://hustleheads.com/registration/

We were planing to add additional text on the registration page to explain the different registration levels at a later time.

The Membership Options Page ("Registration" in your website) is right for that.

The Login Welcome Page ("Login" in your case) seemed to work fine, it sent me to the Membership Options Page saying Level 0 is required to view it. That is correct, the Login Welcome Page is only meant for logged in users, i.e. Level 0 or above.

Not sure what you saw but everytime we click on Login or Registration links in the navigation bar each of the pages are empty. Where are you going to get the correct login screen and registration screen?

The links in the navigation worked. The Registration (Membership Options) page loads, including the footer. There's not main content, though. Did you add anything to that page yet other than the title?

Login Page
We want the login button on the navigation page to take keep the heading informatin but also provie the following informatin from this link: http://hustleheads.com/wp-login.php?action-register

Registration Page
We want the Registrtion button on the navigation page to keep the heading information but also provide the following information from this link: http://hustleheads.com/wp-login.php?action=register

1. What triggers the login page and registration page?

2. Do we have to change or activate different levels of membership for this to work.

3. Finally, we just want users to have the ability to login and register at level 0.

The Login Welcome Page is the one shown to the person right after logging in, showing him the login form at this point is not needed.

About the Membership Options Page having a registration form, you could copy the HTML for the form at http://hustleheads.com/wp-login.php?action=register and paste it in your page. If you have s2Member Pro, you may use the free registration pro-form. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Pro-Forms -> Free Registration Forms

Free registrations set users at Level 0 (Subscriber). You just need to have open registration enabled for this. WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> Open Registration
